At the National Cordage Factory (Cordoaria Nacional, Belém), more than 120 models made from 15 million LEGO pieces have been assembled. The exhibition covers around 2,000 m² and will run until January 10, 2027.
One of the main exhibits is a 1:7 scale replica of the US presidential aircraft Air Force One. The nearly 11-metre-long model was built by six people over six months. It is estimated to have taken around one million pieces to make.
There are other large-scale constructions too: the “King of the Seas” cruise ship made from more than 700,000 pieces, a medieval red dragon and a Spinosaurus made from 900,000 elements. Separate areas are dedicated to cinema, sports, Star Wars, geography and biology.
Visitors don’t have to just look at other people’s creations: in the Fun Zone, people of all ages can build their own models. There is also a separate 3D Trick Gallery with optical illusions, which requires an additional ticket.
The exhibition has already travelled to 11 European countries, and this is not its first visit to Lisbon — it was held at the same venue last summer, but with a different collection. After Lisbon, the organisers will most likely continue their tour of the Iberian Peninsula, with Porto or possibly Madrid and Barcelona as the next stops.
The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00. Tickets are available online and at the entrance, with online tickets being cheaper: a regular ticket costs €11 on weekdays and €12 on weekends and public holidays; with access to the 3D Trick Gallery, the price is €16.50 and €18 respectively. For groups of four or more people (with no more than two adults), tickets start at €10 per person. Children under 95 cm tall enter free of charge.
