Listen
A weekend for jazz, fado and classical music. On Friday, Festa do Jazz at CCB presents the trio of Julia Perminova, a pianist from Tyumen in Siberia who built her career in Paris clubs; on Saturday Marco Rodrigues sings Carlos do Carmo; in Porto there is Rachmaninoff at Casa da Música, and in Faro the São Carlos orchestra plays “Scheherazade”. Rock and contemporary music fans have very little to choose from: the only notable shows are Dublin post-punk band Gurriers and American rappers Fly Anakin and Quelle Chris, plus Max Cooper’s audiovisual concert in Porto.
